Thai oil firm PTT Philippines has pushed further its expansion program with the opening of two more premium service stations in Quezon City, bringing to 96 the total number of PTT stations in the country.
PTT Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Sukanya Seriyothin on Tuesday led the grand opening of PTT Belfast and PTT Regalado, both in Fairview, Quezon City. PTT now has five stations in Quezon City with three others located in Novaliches, G. Araneta, and Edsa Veterans.
In Metro Manila, PTT now has twelve service stations with PTT Park ‘n Fly as its flagship in the South and Edsa Veterans in the North.
The PTT Belfast and PTT Regalado are both classified under premium stations that have been designed similar to PTT stations in Thailand that boast off not only high quality petroleum products but services that include clean restrooms.
A premium station carries a different canopy design with contoured signage compared with the standard that has a flat signage. They also differ in the sizes of the areas. A premium station is bigger than the standard station.
“We’re going to that direction of making all our stations premium in terms of the design, in order to be consistent with our corporate looks that are similar to our stations in Thailand,” Seriyothin said. “But all these stations, whether standard or premium, offer the same premium-grade fuel and lubricant products aside from the good services that we also provide.”
Earlier this year, PTT introduced the Blue Innovation, a new fuel technology to its diesel and gasoline products. PTT re-branded its fuel products with the formulation Blue Innovation. Variants of PTT fuels are now called BlueDiesel, BlueGasoline 93+, BlueGasoline 95+, and BlueGasoline 97+.
“We’re always very thankful for the support that we get from our dealers. We would never be able to expand if not for their continuous support. While we welcome new dealers in our other soon to open service stations, there are still our original dealers who never fail to apply for new PTT stations. I will always be proud of that because that proves that we take care of them well that they want to own more PTT stations,” Seriyothin said during the grand opening that was also attended by other key PTT executives that include Marketing Director Thitiroj Rergsumran, Chief Finance Officer Patrinee Suponthana, and PTT Philippines Foundation Inc. President Paul Patricio Senador.
The aggressive expansion of PTT Philippines is expected to be highlighted by the opening of its biggest station in the Philippines — the two-hectare PTT SCTEX in Concepcion, Tarlac, which is expected to open middle of this year.
The SCTEX station will be PTT’s second Platinum station in the Philippines next to PTT Lucena that was opened last year. A Platinum station has much bigger land area and designed with a park concept that is exactly the same with Thailand’s Platinum stations.
PTT’s parent company, the state-owned PTT Public Company Limited, is Thailand largest oil company and the only company from Thailand listed in Fortune Global 500 companies.
