PIP Conducts Capability Training for DOE

PIP conducted a 3-day capability building training for the technical and non-technical key personnel of the Department of Energy (DOE), last 29 February to 2 March 2016 at the One Pacific Place, Makati.  The training created a venue for sharing the best practices as well as basic knowledge in the field of basic petroleum chemistry, processing, refining, blending, and LPG operations.  The training was divided into 2 parts: 2-day classroom lecture, open forum and discussions; and a day tour and actual visit at the Shell Tabangao Refinery.

Seventeen (17) participants from the DOE attended the training.  Technical experts from various fields of petroleum processes, operations and logistics,  served as resource persons.  On behalf of the participants, Director Rodela Romero expressed appreciation on the training conducted including the overall positive response on the topics covered and the resource persons. They are looking forward to the conduct of another training on safety and best practices.
