PIP conducts Capacity Building Training for DOE

PIP conducted a 3-day (17-19 October 2017) capacity building training for the DOE personnel (Division Chiefs, staff and field personnel) from Liquid Fuels and LPG Sections from main office including those from Visayas and Mindanao field offices.
The training was divided into 2 modules: 2-day classroom lecture, open forum and discussions; concluded on the 3rd day with a site visit of the Petron Rosario Cavite Depot. The training aimed to improve competency of DOE Retail Outlet Inspectors on retail station maintenance, safety, product maintenance and logistics.
A total of thirty (30) participants from the DOE attended the training. The PIP HSE Committee provided the technical experts from its respective retail operations group that served as resource persons to discuss design standards, safety procedures, facilities and equipment maintenance, among others.
Atty. Rino Abad of the DOE-OIMB expressed his appreciation to the PIP for the successful conduct of the training and for creating a venue for sharing the best practices on maintenance of facility and quality assurance of petroleum products in retail outlets. Overall, the participants provided positive feedback on the conduct of the 3-day training and acknowledged its contribution in enhancing their confidence and increasing their technical knowledge.
